Your starting point

Match the plan to your phone, your coverage and what you actually use. Use the same assumptions for every offer and verify the latest terms directly.

Check whether your handset is paid off

A SIM-only plan usually keeps airtime separate from buying a phone. Before moving, check any existing minimum term, handset repayments or exit charges. A lower airtime price does not erase a balance owed on an old contract.

Start with coverage

Check the provider’s coverage information for the places you use your phone most. Indoor performance can differ from an outdoor coverage prediction. Consider using a test SIM where practical before moving a number you rely on for work or family.

Compare billing periods consistently

One calendar-month price and one 28-day price should not be compared as though both renew twelve times per year. Use the actual billing cycle, activation charge and relevant annual cost. A small headline difference can change once renewal frequency is included.

Read the allowances carefully

Check data, calls and texts separately. Look at speed caps, tethering rules, fair-use policies and out-of-plan charges. Unlimited domestic data does not automatically mean unlimited roaming data. Confirm the roaming allowance and destination zones if you travel.

Check the total commitment

A rolling plan can offer flexibility, while a longer contract may bundle benefits you value. Check the cancellation notice and any price-change provisions. Keep a copy of the offer and terms so you can identify the exact plan later.

Choose on useful value

The cheapest selected plan is not necessarily the best fit for you. Compare coverage and restrictions first, then cost. Our selected-plan table shows published snapshots with source links and dates, so you can verify the provider’s latest offer before ordering.
